Patrick Jouin

Embark on stylish and graceful journey

It’s a little miracle. As generous as always, Patrick - hugely sought-after – has kindly agreed to take the helm of our pop-up site for the day. An excellent opportunity for him to share great insight, knowledge and findings.
Stay tuned until Wednesday April 10.

Patrick Jouin

Patrick’s insight is pure gold.

Patrick is a designer whose creativity finds expression in industrial design for the decorative arts. With the top manufacturers, Cassina, Kartell, Alessi, Pedrali, Busnelli, FIAM, Porada, Zanotta and for exceptional projects, Patrick found a place in the landscape of international design where only a few know how to evolve with both ease and strength. Patrick Jouin's career and his design agency, Patrick Jouin ID, were consecrated by a monographic exhibition at Centre Pompidou in 2009. They were also honoured with the Compasso d'Oro in 2011 for PastaPot.

Many of his creations are showcased in permanent collections worldwide, including the "Solid" collection at MOMA, which in 2004 was the first series of real-size furniture made by 3D printing technology. Patrick Jouin is also involved in interior design projects with his partner Sanjit Manku, within the agency Jouin Manku founded in 2006.

Relive Milano 2019

Can I offer you something to drink?

MARY is beautifully arched and consists of three parts. Its base hides a discreet storage space, which can accommodate glasses and various accessories. The central element holds plenty of surprises. Four petals carved in walnut are assembled around a transparent, curved and textured sheet of glass. When it is closed, it subtly suggests its content. When it opens up, its heart lights up and reveals a brushed brass case that gently reflects the liquids contained in the bottles. Its upper part, a display shelf, can receive various decorative or conventional objects.

This poetic, elegant and delicate piece is a lovely additional and autonomous unit, designed to exist in harmony in residential interiors.

Each day its star editor

What an honor to have 6 celebrated Design and gastronomy ambassadors  to share their insight into this year’s edition of the Salone de Milano.
It’s honestly as good as a hall of fame: Patricia Urquiola, Philippe Starck, Patrick Jouin, Luca Nichetto and the amazing duo Fabio Pisani and Alessandro Negrini.
